Snake in the house???!!

My daughter just called....there is a snake INSIDE our house. Sounds like just a baby king snake...but still...a snake IN the house.

She had to go off to work...Hubby is working...so I will be the first one home tonight. YIKES!

She said it went in the bathroom and disappeared, so she shoved towels under the door....lets hope that works to keep him cornered when he resurfaces.

Interesting Observation

On Day 9 is when my daughter hit her plateau....I had day 9 over the weekend....plateau'd that day, and this morning weighed the same as Friday. I then went back to our chart to see if they were within the same time frame, and discovered BOTH were DAY 9.

I find this interesting because I know somewhere in my reading I read there is a plateau period...do you think I can now find this anywhere to read again??!! lol

I had my craft fair over the weekend...and I am proud to say I stuck to it the entire time. Didnt even try the handmade caramels....and I LOVE caramel!!! But I stuck to it!

So even with a plateau, all in all I say it isnt bad. So today is Day 10 and I am down 4.5 lbs. For DD it is Day 14 and she is down 11.5 lbs. Pretty darn good!!

Diet Day 5

I woke up and I am down a half lb making it 4 lbs total for me…and Baby Girl, not taking the cough syrup, is back on track and down a pound and half giving her a 9lb loss so far. I am soooo proud of her and how she is sticking to this, even when others around her eat and drink things she loves…she has not cheated.

This weekend will be a test for me. We have a craft fair….oh how I LOVE craft fair food! But I will be packing my salad and apples and be very good….I know I have it in me.

The Eleventh Of September

We mourn their loss this day this year
Those now with God, no danger near

So many loved ones left do stand
Confronting loss throughout our land

My heart goes out to those who do
No one can fathom what they view

I firmly pray for peace of mind
Dear God please help each one to find

And to our soldiers now at war
God guide above, at sea, on shore

They are the best, I have no doubt
Our country’s pride, complete, devout

The finest force you’ll ever see
All freedom grown through liberty

One final thought comes clear to me
For what must live in infamy

Absolutely - We’ll Remember
The Eleventh - Of September

Kitties and their Napping Spots

Here is one kitty....where is the other??

Ah of course....he is INSIDE the box....they just love their boxes.

Diet Day 4

I am going to start this post off by saying, even though this is the strictest diet I have ever done, it is also the only diet I have stuck with willingly, with no thoughts to cheat. I find this strange. I don’t always feel satisfied, but then again I really am not feeling deprived or hungry. Interesting.

This morning I am down another pound, yet my daughter has seemed to plateau. She hasn’t lost anything the last 2 days, but 7.5 lbs in one week is a big loss….but we think we know what tripped her up. She is sick with strep and was given cough syrup…which she took for the last 2 days. DUH! We should have realized it has alcohol and sugar…2 big no no’s of this diet. I honestly think this is why she hasn’t lost. So no more cough syrup and drinking lots of water, and we will see what happens tomorrow.

This morning I had my coffee and eggs…shared the eggs with the lil pup of course, lol. And just talked to my daughter, and she said she put like 7 drops of the English Toffee flavored Stevia in her coffee and that it was

“pretty darn gooood!”

So I think I will have to give that a try tomorrow. Hmmm, I wonder if coffee, flavored stevia and ice blended in my magic bullet mixer would be good….sounds like a nice afternoon treat I just will have to try now.

I made it to 11am without even wanting a mid morning snack…so it seems to be getting easier….mind over matter I tell ya.

Today for lunch I brought the other half of my steak from 2 nights ago and I put it on my romaine lettuce. I love this lettuce…I buy the kind there in the bagged salad section, usually on the bottom shelf, and it has 3 full heads of romaine in the bag. I chop one full one up to eat.

Diet Day 3

I am down a total of 2.5 lbs and DD is down 7.5 lbs, pretty encouraging.

Today was a continuation of what I think will be the normal schedule, except that I didn’t overcook my eggs, so they weren’t too bad. I ate most of them and gave the pup the rest….I am really not a fan of eggs, but I dislike not having any breakfast even more. So I may need to look into an alternative.

10:30 had my strawberries.

Drops at 11:30 and chicken w/romaine at noon.

I have not been drinking water like I should though. But by 1pm I realized I better step it up. Only 1 glass so far.

2pm – Had a melba toast. I don’t know if I am actually hungry, or just habit because usually my routine is a snack around 2 or 3pm. But it is usually something really bad like a big bag of chips or a chocolate bar.

2:30 – I have gotten another glass of water down…so up to 32oz now, which is better than a little over 8oz…so I am getting closer to my quota.

3:30pm having an apple to get me through the rest of the afternoon until dinner.

Dinner I ate a little late as I had some stuff to do for our business. But I baked some yummy chicken and had asparagus. I didnt like the asparagus the other night, but last night was pretty good, and I think because I cut most of the bottom off, those are hard and bitter to me.

Yummy strawberries again for dessert. I said I wasnt going to have them again as this could be an expensive habit, but they are just sooo good!!

Going to check out the recipes found at HCGkey so I can add some variety. Hubby picked up a flavored bottle of Stevia so I can try one of the apple desserts.

Diet Day 2

I am down a pound and a half….well I cannot tell you how much that boosts you to want to continue. Glad to see results the first day makes me not want to quit, after all Day 1 really wasn’t all that hard. Just makes you modify how much and how often you eat.

So today I am modifying this as I have decided I cannot go without breakfast, and so I had my coffee and I took my drops about 7am, and then at 7:30 I scrambled 2 eggs. I have to say I am not a big fan of eggs…and I think I overcooked them, so the pup got to eat most of them, and I think he was pretty happy about that.

I poured a travel mug of coffee with a smidge of half n half and headed off to work. I drank every drop of my coffee over the next hour.

About 10:30am I ate 6 strawberries.

I have now also drank 2 large glasses of water, trying to drink as much as I can.

Took my drops at 11:30, and ate my baked chicken and romaine at noon.

3pm I ate an apple.

Before dinner I took my drops and waited while hubby grilled us steak.

You are allowed beef like 2 times a week…and only lean cuts like NY Strip and London Broil. So I ate half my steak along with a package of frozen spinach.

I have to say I felt full pretty fast, and as my daughter said, probably because beef is a heavier meat.

So for dessert we had our 6 strawberries….I am liking that part! :)

Diet Day 1

I am down a half pound and back to my original weight….hmmm, a little odd with all the junk food I ate, but hey who is complaining.

My morning started with a cup of coffee and a smidge of half n half, I cannot do black coffee!

Mid morning I had a piece of fruit (apple) and a piece of melba toast.

For lunch I baked some chicken and mixed it with a bunch of romaine lettuce. For dressing I used the salad spritzers. I didn’t have the ingredients on hand to make the dressing recipe in the book.

Now mid afternoon I “thought” I felt hungry. Am I? Is it mind over matter? My stomach isn’t growling, but it felt empty and I was a tad tired, so I went ahead and ate another apple.

Dinner I baked more chicken and asparagus. Frys has their brand frozen asparagus in the steamer bags, and I ate the whole bag, lol.

For “dessert” I ate 6 strawberries.

Gorge Day 2

I am up a half a pound…well that is to be expected with all the junk I ate. :)

Breakfast was McDonalds Egg McMuffin.

Lunch was a burger and chips

Snack included more chips, another fry bread with honey and powdered sugar and a vanilla latte.

Dinner was grilled chicken and rice…not fattening but what we had on hand.

For snacks I ate some chips and pretzels.

Lunch was a pulled pork sandwich and more chips.

Dinner was Burger King burger and fries and onion rings.

Now also included during the day was the HCG drops 3 times under my tongue - 30 minutes before each meal.

HCG – Daughters Results

My daughter started the diet before me since I am waiting for the weekend craft fair...I mean come one, there will be some yummy food there!!

After 3 days she is down 2.2 lbs. She said she was hungry, which I wonder if that is to be expected after gorging for 2 days…but then when I saw how little she was eating I could see why she was hungry. So I showed her how to weigh out her food on the scale…her teensy piece of fish was 1/3 the amount she was allowed, so I think she is on track now.

HCG

Who has done it? I have so many people around me doing it with awesome results, and well since I cannot get rid of my stubborn last 10 pounds I thought I would give it a go. My daughter has quite a bit of weight to lose, and she is doing it as well.

At first glance I think NO WAY I can do this….this is STRICT. So lets just see if I can do this.

There are 2 versions…shots, um no thanks, or drops under your tongue. I am opting for the drops.

You gorge the first 2 days on high fat foods for your body to store. Well since I have a craft fair to attend this coming weekend, sounds like the best place to do my 2 day gorge, so I will begin then.

Then you eat a 500-1000 calorie diet. The calories depend on your activity, or what you can handle. Some people I have talked to 500 calories were not enough and they felt light headed…so they added an extra piece of fruit or calories.

Basic gist of it is
No Breakfast
Lunch and dinner each consist of a protein, a vegetable, a fruit, and a piece of melba toast.

So let’s see how well I stick to it….
